Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of this fun Three Oaks home! A 2-story main house, hangout cabana, and outdoor living w/ BBQ deck and fire pit area offer the perfect blend of relaxation + entertainment. Modern finishes and bright rooms throughout the residence. Open eat-in kitchen w/ stainless appliances, cute sitting room w/ sleeper sofa, 3 king bedrooms (1 also has a twin) and 2 baths accommodate 10 guests. Ideally located down the street from Journeyman Distillery and Welter's Folly!
THE SPACE
Your friends will be green with envy when you book the Ernest House for your next Three Oaks getaway! Our vibrant and playful property is your own personal escape with a 2-story home featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open eat-in kitchen and two social living areas. Outside there is sweet hangout cabana with TV and comfy seating, a wrap-around deck with dining table and BBQ grill, a fire pit, and the entire backyard positively glows at night with overhead party lighting.
Inside the residence offers both stylish comfort and family-friendly spaces. Downstairs, a living room with conversation seating, farmhouse-style dining table and kitchen seamlessly connect to form one large gathering place. Great for foodies and social butterflies alike, the wide-open kitchen is fully equipped with a comprehensive housewares package and gas range.
There is a cute sitting room off this main space with a TV, leather sofa, lending library and board games. A full bath with a shower/tub combo is connected to this room, and there is a laundry/mud room on this floor as well.
When downtime is needed, escape upstairs where 3 private bedrooms are styled with amazingly soft linens and offer excellent sleeping options in the following configuration:
Bedroom 1 – King bed + twin bed
Bedroom 2 – King bed
Bedroom 3 – King bed
A full bathroom with a large walk-in tile shower is shared between these 3 rooms
The Ernest House is fully renovated inside and out, and promises to bring its vivacious, unique character to any visitor with a dreamy vibe that is both modern and exciting. Great for wedding party members/guests, the property is just down the street from Journeyman Distillery and Welter's Folly. Village center is a 5-minute walk plus close to all SW Michigan attractions and 90 minutes from Chicago – welcome to your vacation!
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing a vacation travel insurance policy if you suspect that you will need to cancel your vacation.
The minimum age to rent this home is 25.
Pets are not allowed at this home.
Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.

Posh retreat in a walkable neighborhood
by Sarah B.My husband and I had a great time at Ernest House! It had a posh atmosphere yet welcoming design throughout, making it easy for us to feel blessed to just relax and recline there. (Some places we’ve been weren’t anywhere near as inviting, so we’d just go out all day and into the evening, returning at night just to hit the hay!) And speaking of relaxing, this home has a cool “hangout cabana” and a gorgeous deck where we barbecued one night. There is really nice outdoor fire pit area and firewood is provided, which is a major plus. Only thing missing was a hot tub where we could sit and sip while watching the night sky. I will say, the place was spotless when we arrived, like not a thing out of place (which I appreciated). And the nicely appointed furnishings in every room added an extra sense of richness to our vacation. Being super-close to the town center made it a pleasure too, knowing we could get a quality meal within walking distance. This is a highly recommended choice and we look forward to returning!
Perfect balance of elegance and comfort
by Greg R.First of all, I can’t say enough about how relaxing AND comfortable our stay was at the Ernest House! Yes, it was absolutely gorgeous inside; every room was inviting and lavishly decorated with the perfect balance of elegance and cozy-comfy – it was as though whoever designed this home was wanting you to experience beauty AND to have peace and tranquility settle into your heart, mind & soul! Even when we weren’t going out and seeing the nearby sights and places, we had a great time just hanging out here… from chilling out and cooking in the spacious, super-nice (and well-organized) kitchen to spending time with each other outside in the cabana area and eating outside on the deck… I kept finding myself saying, “Is this a dream or what?” By the way, when we arrived, the place was not just beautiful, but spotlessly clean, too! And we loved how centrally located we were – very close to Downtown Three Oaks with shopping and eating, not to mention the awesome Journeyman Distillery. All-in-all, we give a 5-star recommendation to the Ernest House, for sure!!!
