First time visiting Union Pier and we will definitely be back. This house was a perfect space for lounging and entertainment. There were plenty of beds for the 6 of us. We puzzled, relaxed in the hotub and enjoyed every minute of our escape from Chicago. Highly recommend this space!

We really loved our time at the Dakota. The house is as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures, and very spacious. Theres's plenty of room to spread out, but plenty to gather in, as well. There's also plenty of throughtful touches like board games, laundry baskets and detergent, and and an excess of beach towels. I mentioned in an email that we were visiting for my sisters birthday, and when we arrived, there was a personalized cake waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that went far beyond anything I'd expect. A few things that I find helpful to know about a place: you'll find all the pots, bowls, and cooking utensils you could need. There were a few baking sheets and even a crock pot. And there's plenty of plates, silverware, and drinkware on hand. Salt, pepper, and olive oil were provided. We had such a nice stay and will definielty keep Juniper in mind for future visits to the area.

Stayed here after visiting a couple wineries in the area with my wife, kids and their significant others for a belated Farher’s Day weekend. Beautiful house, pool, backyard fire pit, etc. in a perfect location for our plans. Great communication with management throughout. We visit the area occasionally since there are lots of things to do within a short distance from home. We’ll look for this place every time we’re traveling with our family.

Our whole group really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were incredibly responsive and let us check in a few hours early. The space itself was also perfect. It was exactly like the pictures, and the space was clean. All guests complimented how comfy the beds were, too! Our only hiccup was that it was a bit difficult to request ride shares, and I’d recommend scheduling ride shares ahead of time just in case you need to be somewhere! I’d definitely choose this spot again next time I visit the area.

"Staying at the Dakota was easy, breezy and fun! There was a welcome gift and travel size body products in each bathroom. The house was flooded with natural light and the skylights in the bathroom were a nice surprise. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. The fireplace and hot tub were highlights for us (as we visited in Feb). ItÔø?s as comfortable as a home away from home could be and I definitely want to visit again in the summer."

We love to come in the winter and play in the snow. the house is so beautiful and you have everybody you need - lots of kitchen supplies, towels etc. And if you are traveling w kids, they had everything we needed like a pack and play and highchair and kids plates and cups. The team is very responsive and helpful but the house was in pristine condition and we didnÔø?t need anything. We actually walked to the nearby wineries (14 min walk) and to get coffee - and easily popped from town to town. Union Pier is so lovely and this house is in a great location to explore Union Pier, New Buffalo and more!"

The property and home are amazing, very clean with high-end elements. We stayed in late-September and even though it was too cold to use the pool, the hot tub was great and the various patio spaces and fire pit, and fireplace in living room, were nice to enjoy as well. We loved our stay! The house was gorgeous, clean, and spacious with enough amenities that we had just as much staying in as we did going out. The beds were comfortable with great pillows, which you don’t see very often in rental houses. We took full advantage of the hot tub and grill along with the well stocked cooking utensils. The only two pieces of feedback was that the listing said checkout was 11:00 but the host told us it was 10:00. Luckily for us, no one checked in the day we checked out so the hosts were flexible and allowed us a late checkout. Additionally, there was quite a bit of cleaning required on our part as part of the hosts check out process, which felt extensive given that we were also charged for cleaning fees. Otherwise it was a lovely and hassle free stay!

This house is amazing and the communication with the owner was quick and helpful. We loved our stay here. Besides the house itself, we especially loved the heated pool, hot tub, and firepit. The only thing that I would change is how early the check out time is, especially with the checklist of things to do before leaving. Even so this house is a gem and I hope to be back.

The host was very accommodating and responsive when I booked the house. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided including grill, kitchen appliances, and items for infants. Pets being permitted was a plus. The heated pool and jacuzzi were well worth the stay. They were also kind enough to follow up twice per day and even leave us some welcome treats! Highly recommend.

Really great home. The pool was perfect temperature, and was very easy to cover/uncover. The house was clean and organized, and it was obvious they put a lot of thought into having everything necessary, including stuff for young children which was a huge bonus. They also had a well crafted guest book which highlighted things to do in the area and places to eat.

We have been renting for over 30 years in this area. This is a particularly lovely home if you don't mind being a little further from the beach. The property was gorgeous with a great patio and porch. It was wintery weather so we didn't get to take advantage of the pool. The interior was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful features, the kitchen was well stocked and functioned well, the beds are very comfortable, the linens throughout were very nice, there was plenty of shower and bathroom space for all. My only complaint is that the third and fourth bedrooms didn't accommodate adult couples well. One had a full size bed, and the other bunks. We had three adult couples. If that full-size bed was upgraded to a queen, that would make a difference. The owners have lots of lovely touches around that make it feel homey. Also, it is relatively new and so far it is being kept up nicely which can be hard to do in rental homes that get a lot of traffic. Communication was great with this team. We would definitely stay here again.

We have been renting for over 30 years in this area. This is a particularly lovely home if you don't mind being a little further from the beach. The property was gorgeous with a great patio and porch. It was wintery weather so we didn't get to take advantage of the pool. The interior was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful features, the kitchen was well stocked and functioned well, the beds are very comfortable, the linens throughout were very nice, there was plenty of shower and bathroom space for all. My only complaint is that the third and fourth bedrooms didn't accommodate adult couples well. One had a full size bed, and the other bunks. We had three adult couples. We had the best time at Juniper. It is probably the nicest Airbnb I've stayed at in my life ;). We went in the winter and used the hot tub but not the pool. The yard is huge and we spent a lot of time running around outside. Our dog enjoyed it too! They had plates and cups and forks for kids, a pack and play and a highchair. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the side porch was a great place to work and eat breakfast. We are already thinkng about booking our next Juniper trip!

We loved our time here. Perfect for two families meeting half way between Michigan and Chicago. Beautifully appointed furniture and design. Felt like a star vacation. Loved that they were expecting us with a light on and jazz tunes to welcome us. So many thoughtful touches to welcome guest, even guests with littles, with kids plates and soppy cups. Kitchen is well stocked and we didn’t need to use some of the the things we brought “just in case”

We stayed here for a girl's weekend. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space and bathrooms for 8 girls. The kitchen was the perfect space for hanging out and we took advantage of some winter hot tub time. The locations was just minutes away from our favorite winery and close to both Union Pier and New Buffalo. 10/10 recommend and would love to be back in the summer!

We stayed at The Dakota for a girl's weekend getaway in January and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was incredibly cozy and cute, and CLEAN. There was plenty of space for the six of us and the beds were comfortable. We did a lot of cooking at the house and were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was. The backyard was large, and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub (perfect for the winter weather). We would love to come back in the summer so we could spend more time in the yard at the firepit and in the pool. Could not recommend this place enough!

The property and home are amazing, very clean with high-end elements. We stayed in late-September and even though it was too cold to use the pool, the hot tub was great and the various patio spaces and fire pit, and fireplace in living room, were nice to enjoy as well. We loved our stay and highly recommend booking this place for a relaxing getaway!

We had a fantastic time at the Union Pier home. The house had everything we needed including a hot tub and fireplace to make it extra cozy. It was dog friendly which is exactly what we needed as well. We appreciated how fully stocked the kitchen was with appliances, tools, utensils, coffee machine, and even a blender & crockpot! Every bedroom had a smart tv, the house was beautiful, it was extremely enjoyable. We would stay here again and again.
