The Barn

It’s called The Barn, but the turret says otherwise. This Three Oaks retreat pairs farmhouse charm with soaring ceilings, a wall of windows, and a fireplace at the heart of the great room. Cook in a bright white kitchen, gather at the farmhouse table, then step out to the patio, hot tub, and fire pit by the pond. Upstairs, hayloft shutters overlook it all and the bunk room is ready for game night. Cherry Beach on Lake Michigan is just an 8 minute drive away.

Step inside and the ceiling keeps going. The great room rises two stories under a wall of windows, with a gas fireplace at its center and deep sofas gathered around it. The space opens straight into the dining area, where a rustic farmhouse table seats the whole group, and on to a bright white kitchen with a large island, a farmhouse sink, and a view of the trees from the cooktop. French doors lead from the kitchen into the turret, a sunlit breakfast nook with windows on every side. Upstairs, the family room offers a second place to unwind, complete with hayloft shutters that swing open over the great room below, so no one is ever far from the conversation.

The master bedroom sits on the main level for privacy, with an adjustable king bed, a fireplace, and its own path to the hot tub. Upstairs, bedrooms 2 & 3 and a family room with a queen bed and a bunk bed with a daybed give kids and extra guests their own floor. The family room is an open space without a separate door, making it best for families and close groups.

The master ensuite feels like a spa, with a double vanity, a rain shower, and French doors to the hot tub. Upstairs, the family room bath has a tiled glass shower. Off the home office, the main floor bath stands out with a cobalt vanity and glass vessel sink. A laundry room with a half bath, washer, dryer, and utility sink makes longer stays easy.

Outside, The Barn opens to trees, open lawn, and Michigan farmland. The hot tub sits just off the master ensuite, and the patio beside the turret has a gas grill and Adirondack chairs for long dinners outdoors. Past the lawn, a fire pit near the pond sets the scene for s’mores and stargazing, with cornfields stretching out beyond.

The Barn sits in the heart of Harbor Country, about 90 minutes from Chicago. Spend your days browsing galleries and antique shops in downtown Three Oaks, catching a film at the Vickers Theatre or a show at the Acorn, and sipping your way through Journeyman Distillery and the Lake Michigan Shore wine trail. Cherry Beach on Lake Michigan is just about 8 minutes drive away, with Warren Dunes State Park and the New Buffalo beaches a little farther. Quiet country roads make every bike ride an easy one.

To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.

All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.

The minimum age to rent this home is 25.

Pets are not allowed at this property.

A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

This complex is 100% smoke-free and vape-free. The policy applies to all areas of the premises, including the exterior, balconies, porches, parking areas, and pool deck. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must exit the complex entirely.

Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
