Set on a private wooded lot minutes from Douglas and Saugatuck, The Woodsmen pairs a polished sporting-lodge look with all-new interiors, a sage kitchen with island, two distinct living rooms, three inviting bedrooms, two striking baths, a firepit, hammock, gas grill, and broad deck for long afternoons outside. Spend the day at Lake Michigan beaches, local wineries and cider houses, then return to a secluded retreat that feels far removed from everything and still close to town favorites nearby.

THE SPACE
The Woodsmen has a polished, heritage-inspired look with rich wood tones, dark paint, tailored furnishings, and crisp new finishes throughout. Nothing here is dated. The kitchen, baths, flooring, lighting, and furnishings all read fresh, considered, and upscale without losing warmth.

A kitchen with sage green cabinetry, a connected dining area, and two separate living rooms defines the main living spaces. The kitchen has sage cabinetry, stainless appliances, a large island, and plenty of prep space. The dining area opens directly to the kitchen and deck, making the layout easy for shared meals and time outdoors. There are also two separate living rooms. One is bright with layered textures and views to the trees. The second sits deeper in tone, wrapped in blue walls with comfortable seating and soft lighting that gives the room an inviting calm.

The three bedrooms keep the same tailored look seen throughout the house. The main suite has a more elevated feel with a statement bed, warm wood furniture, and windows facing the trees. The second bedroom is lighter in tone and equally inviting. The third bedroom is smaller, with a single bed and a more vintage, cabin-inspired look that works well for a child or solo guest.

The bathrooms are newly finished and far more distinctive than what most guests expect in a woodland enclave. One has color drenched paneling, hand-crafted tile, double sinks and a bold, handsome look. The second is brighter, with crisp tile and brass fixtures. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is also included.

Outside, the wooded setting gives the home real privacy. The deck has room for grilling and outdoor seating, the hammock adds another place to stretch out, and the firepit sits farther out in the yard with Adirondack chairs around it. The half-acre lot is framed by trees, which gives the outdoor space a more secluded feel.

Surrounded by the peaceful Saugatuck countryside, The Woodsmen offers easy access to Lake Michigan’s scenic shoreline, charming coastal towns, and the best of Southwest Michigan’s wine and farm country. Guests can spend the day tasting award-winning vintages at Fenn Valley Vineyards or Modales Wines, sampling cider at Virtue Cider, or exploring local favorites like Evergreen Lane Farm and Creamery and Crane’s Pie Pantry. Just a 10-minute drive away, discover the art galleries, shops, and waterfront dining of Saugatuck and Douglas, or head to Pier Cove Park and West Side County Park for sun, sand, and stunning lake views. Nature lovers will enjoy nearby hiking trails and forest preserves.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.

All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.

The minimum age to rent this home is 25.

A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

Pets are not allowed at this home.

Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
